If you're an iPhone fan living in the United Kingdom, you'll be happy to know that you won't have to wait much longer. If you didn't already know, the UK version of the iPhone will appear on stores shelves (if they even make it TO the shelves) on November 9th.

When you buy your iPhone UK, you'll have access to the full range of phone services, and even be able to use it around the world, as it is a quad-band GSM phone. You'll have to first make sure that your UK iPhone plans have the international dialing and roaming services enabled through O2, and that the area you are visiting offers GSM coverage.

The UK iPhone price is reasonable for the features it offers. Along with its regular cell phone options, not only will your UK iPhone allow you to surf the Web using the Safari web browser, you'll also be able to access the Internet with or without a Wi-Fi connection. When a Wi-Fi isn't available to you, you'll have the ability to connect to O2's EDGE (Enhance Data rates for GSM Evolution) data network. The iPhone will also be able to send and receive email over Wi-Fi and EDGE wireless networks, and you'll even have the ability to manage multiple email accounts.

And don't despair if you're not currently an O2 client. If you're currently with another wireless carrier, you can always ask to transfer your existing phone number when you activate your O2 account with you new iPhone!
